Sesmedia Enterprises
Company

One spine. Many ventures.

Sesmedia Enterprises is the shared infrastructure built from Deaf culture outward, so creators, businesses, and communities can focus on what they do best.

About

Sesmedia is not a media company. It is infrastructure.

Under Sesmedia sits a family of Deaf-led ventures. Each was solving the same problem from a different angle. The problem was never media, or retail, or a show. It was that Deaf people keep having to build their own way in, one organization at a time.

Sesmedia is the enterprise front door. You contract one company for the whole solution, and we assemble the capability behind it. You do not have to coordinate five companies to get one thing done.

Who we are

A Deaf-led company, built in Las Vegas.

Sesmedia is not a single product or a single show. It is the connective tissue underneath many: the studios, the storefronts, the stages, and the services that Deaf creators and businesses rely on.

Everything we make is designed from Deaf culture outward, so it is native to the people it serves and understood by everyone else.

Mission

Sesmedia turns ideas into lasting ventures.

To build a world where sign language, accessibility, and opportunity are so integrated into everyday life that Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and disabled people can fully participate, lead, create, work, and belong.

As should be.

What we doTurn ideas into lasting ventures.

The outcome. Not a campaign, not a launch, but something still standing years later.

HowBy building infrastructure.

Systems, operations, and governance. What makes a venture last is not luck.

Where fromBuilt from Deaf culture outward.

The origin. Designed from Deaf experience first, so it is native to the people it serves.

The behavior underneath all of it:find something valuable, and build the structure that lets it endure.

Core services

Same structure. Different soul.

Every venture in the family is described the same way, in six capabilities, so you can hold them side by side and compare like for like. The six are not the same six, because a studio and a store do not do the same things. The shape is shared. The contents are the venture's own.

You contract one company. We assemble the capability behind it. Which part does the work depends on what you are building. See all five side by side on Ecosystem ↗ or go straight to Media Services ↗ if you want something built.

The idea, in one line

The tagline is the org chart.

Accessibility is not one of the six. It runs through all of them.Every venture is built from Deaf culture outward, so access is the floor each one stands on, not a service sitting beside them.

Leadership

Deaf-led, from the top.

Eduardo Sesma, founder of Sesmedia Enterprises, wearing a white Sesmedia polo shirt in a studio.
Eduardo Sesma
Founder & Chief Executive

Eduardo “Eddy” Sesma is the Deaf founder of Sesmedia Enterprises, based in Las Vegas.

His work began in 2003 in media production and grew over twenty-three years into studio production, accessibility, digital infrastructure, live commerce, original entertainment, and community experience.

He founded Pah! Studios, the production studio the rest of it grew out of, and every venture beside it. Today, that work lives under Sesmedia Enterprises as one connected company, built from Deaf culture outward.

Across all of it, Eddy sets one standard: access is not added after the work is finished. It begins with how the work is designed.

Deaf experience is not something this company adds. It is where the company starts.

As should be.

History

Captioned from the very first frame.

The aim never changed. It only became architecture.

2003The first film. Made at fifteen for a school English class: black and white, a straight-faced comedy over Steinbeck, performed in sign. The class was hearing and did not know the language, so the captions were burned into the picture by hand, line by line, so they could follow it. Then the rest of the film was left silent on purpose, so they would spend five minutes seeing how a Deaf room works. No one asked for any of it. The class answered in handwaves.
2006The name appears. Pah! Productions, on the title card of a senior-year film with a full press kit behind it. The brand arrives four years before it is a company.
2010Pah! Studios becomes a company. The studio starts trading in August: films, photo shoots, web design, and infomercials. Four years after the name first appeared on a title card it has clients, payroll, and people on the books, and the craft has to start paying for itself.
2011The goal, written down. The studio incorporates in California, and the same year its site sets out the aim: own a studio, employ at least seventy-five percent Deaf and hard of hearing people, and open opportunities in front of and behind the camera.
2011–2014Directing a Deaf-first program. Before Sesmedia had a name, a Deaf-first program serving members from children to adults was built up: its identity designed, its outreach run, its membership grown several times over, and sponsors brought in behind it. Running alongside the studio’s first years, and the first proof that the method works for an organization that is not our own.
2012A division is created. Pah! Studios adds a client-services arm and trades as Pah! Studios Multimedia Services: one company, two halves, making the media and serving the client. That division is the one that later becomes Sesmedia Media Services.
2014The studio goes on tour. Pah! Studios begins touring stage shows and working with performers and influencers, building their brands and running their productions so they could reach further than they could alone.
2016The first pivot. The touring work asked for more than production, so Pah! Creative Solutions is born: websites, flyers, video editing, and the services a growing name actually needs. Not “we produce” but “we solve,” the engine under the art.
2018Denver, and a new name. 258 Deaf Street holds its first festival, where Deaf culture set the room. The practice registers in Colorado, and after the festival Smile Media is born.
2020The Sesmedia name begins. Smile Media closes and Sesmedia is formed the same day, a handover rather than a fresh start. The studio work and the client practice come under one name for the first time, and the name is chosen to hold more than a studio: a family of ventures that would need somewhere to belong.
2023Back to California. The Colorado company closes and a California one opens the same month, the second clean handover in the lineage. The work has outgrown its Colorado footing, and the ventures underneath have started to need more than one company can carry alone.
2026Sesmedia Enterprises, in Nevada. The parent is formed in Las Vegas to hold the family together: shared infrastructure, governance, and one front door for clients to contract through. Twenty-three years of production, accessibility, commerce, and community under one roof, one foundation beneath many brands.
How it grew

One name, divided.

Pah! Productions became Pah! Studios Multimedia Services: one company doing two jobs, making the work and serving clients. Then came Pah! Creative Solutions, the correction that put a business engine under the craft.

Building Sesmedia split that single name in half. The services side rose to become Sesmedia Media Services. The studio side stayed Pah! Studios. Media Services is the living continuation of the client-services practice that began as Pah! in 2006. The structure was not invented. It grew.

Careers

Built by people who sign.

The people who build Sesmedia sign. Deaf professionals, CODAs, and fluent hearing signers, so access is lived from the inside rather than outsourced. The door is the language, not audiology. Open roles will be posted here as the work grows.
