We run the show with you.
The show side of Sesmedia. We build shows, run them on the night, and put Deaf performers in front of audiences that were not already theirs.
We own some of these shows. You own the rest.
Both halves have been working for years, and most venues only ever meet one of them.
What a venue hires is everything around the performer. A performer is one part of a show. The format, the look, what is on the screens, the sound and lighting calls, and somebody running the order on the night are the rest of it. That is the part we do.
Original characters, shows, and game-show formats, created and owned here. The character is the asset, so it can be performed, cast, licensed, and carried forward without changing hands.
Agenting, producing, teaching, and stage-managing for other Deaf entertainers. Run for the performer rather than sold to them, which is a different job and a different bill.
Six capabilities. One division.
The same six every time, whether the show is ours or yours. Take one or take the set.
Turning a performer into a character and a character into a brand: the look, the rules, the material, and the things it never says.
Written formats with a bible behind them, so a show can be cast and produced again instead of made once and lost.
Hosting, stage shows, galas, and festival mainstages. Designed in sign, run in sign, for a room that signs.
Series built for a feed: shot, captioned, and scheduled so the next one is easier to make than the last.
Design, manufacture, and fulfillment, and the paperwork underneath. A character people can wear is a character that pays for itself.
Getting the work in front of audiences that were not already yours, with the credit still attached when it travels.
Accessibility is not the seventh. It is the floor the other six stand on. Nothing here is captioned afterwards, because nothing here is made in a language it has to be translated out of.
Four things, plainly.
For a gala, a festival, an awards night, or a ticketed room. Signed throughout, and written for your audience rather than dropped into it.
Built end to end: format, identity, live screen content, technical direction, and cue-to-cue execution on the night.
An appearance from one of ours, on your stage, on your channel, or in your campaign.
You have the performer and nothing built around them yet. We build the show around them and hand it back working.
Two characters carry the front.
They are the ones people know, and they are not the whole division. Each will get a home of its own, where there is room to tell it properly.
The CEO Drag Queen. Deaf, Mexican-American, on a stage since 2009, which is years before Deaf drag was a thing anyone was doing online. Hosting is where she started and it is still the core.
A Deaf, ASL-native chef teaching cooking and sign in the same breath, with a family of four characters around him. The bow tie is the brand.
Twenty years of shows, not one performer.
Productions staged, formats built, rooms hosted, and stages run. Some ours, some other people’s.
A performer is one part of a show.
Tell us the room.
A venue, a festival, a brand, a channel, or a performer who needs a show built around them. Tell us which, and we will tell you what it takes to fill it.
